Alpha Pet Ventures, which claims to be Europe’s leading digital brand platform for premium pet food, has announced the appointment of Burkhard Friedrichsen as its new B2B sales director for Germany and Austria. Friedrichsen was previously Trixie’s marketing director for these two countries.
In making this appointment, the company underlines its continued commitment to distribution via subsidiary company Premium Pet Products. In particular, it is expected that its support for pet retailers will be consolidated further.
Friedrichsen assumed responsibility at Alpha Pet for marketing in Germany and Austria on 1 November. He succeeds Christian Maerzke, who moves to the role of chief sales officer and will in future have overall responsibility for the marketing regions of Germany, Austria and the UK as well as concentrating on international customers.
With a clear focus on exclusive marketing of its own brands such as Wolfsblut, Wildes Land, Herrmanns and Müllers Naturhof, Alpha Pet aims to continue growing significantly above the market and to keep its customers engaged with high-value products and services.
